STARCHITECT
After conducting research background about Mies Van Der Rohe, I produced a starchitect poster of him. This piece delineates his biographical narrative, encapsulates intriguing facts, and showcases his famous quotations. His minimalist architecture caught my attention through this project. Mies Van Der Rohe’s approach is characterised by an unwavering commitment to simplicity, clarity, and precision. He was also skilled in using modern materials like glass and steel. He therefore had a significant influence on modern architecture.
Three notable Mies structures—Farnsworth House, S.R. Crown Hall, and Neue Nationalgalerie—are included in this piece.

Deliberately abstracting the figure of Mies, I use vivid hues to enhance its visual prominence. I also applied the central focal point drawing composition to direct attention to the subject. Consequently, the structures are intentionally rendered as perspective drawings, extruded towards the designated focal point. Moreover, I use complementary colours of prussian blue and burnt sienna to create a harmonious visual aesthetic.

As depicted in the image, I incorporate the renowned aphorism of Mies, encapsulated in the maxim 'Less is More.' It is translates to indicate that having the necessities is preferable to having far too many extraneous items.
