DESIGN COMMUNICATION
Through these 14 weeks of learning, I gained skills in architectural drawing in orthography, perspectives, and axonometrics. The lecturers also provided insightful guidance throughout the lesson and established deadlines for each component during Project 2 which I think is crucial for architecture students when they have a lot of overlapping work. Hence, through assignments and projects, students learn effective time management, ensuring they can deliver high-quality drawings within the constraints of project timelines. Additionally, this semester's module incorporated an initiation into AutoCAD, an architectural software. This exposure not only afforded me preliminary insights but also served as a precursor, furnishing foundational knowledge that primes students for forthcoming semesters.
01
Famous architects naturally become the people that architecture students look up to in terms of their design, movement, layout, etc. Hence, through this project, I composed a poster on a famous architect who is better known for his aphorism "less is more", Mies Van Der Rohe.
02
A project of producing 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional drawings of the famous building designed by Mies Van Der Rohe, Farnsworth House using orthographic projections, axonometry, and perspective manually.
